We think it’s fantastic that the media are highlighting the importance of good gut health, and we’re also getting a warm fuzzy feeling because newspapers and glossy mags are recommending our brand. In their August 2017 issue, ‘Woman and Home’ magazine have published a really great article about the importance of keeping your digestion in tip top form, with some excellent tips on how to do so, and our ‘Bifidobacteria & fibre’ is their choice for constipation symptoms.
I strongly recommend reading this fabulous ‘Woman and Home’ article as it’s full of good, solid advice presented in a way that’s very easy to understand, even if the whole subject of gut health and function is completely new to you. Interestingly, the article explains more about the link between the gut and mental health:
"The link between the gut and your emotions is on record - think how stressed your stomach feels when you're nervous! Relaxing therapies such as mindfulness, breathing and yoga can all help bring calm to your digestion."
I was delighted to see that the authors of the 'Woman and Home' article also highlighted the importance of stress management, exercise, and good eating habits such as chewing properly – we don’t automatically associate these with digestive function but they’re hugely important.
"When we slow down, chew mindfully and savour the food, we reduce stress. Eating becomes relaxing when we listen to signals from our body that we've had enough. This helps us eat to a comfortable level and aids digestion as well."
Top marks, ‘Woman and Home’ for trying to improve women’s gut health and of course, thanks for the recommendation.
