Soraya is one of our Co-founders and Company Directors. She is passionate about championing this important industry and her mission is to educate the whole world about the importance of the microbiome!

Like her brother Jalal & sister Farah, Soraya is proud of the whole Optibac Probiotics range. But especially close to Farah & Soraya’s hearts, is our For Women supplement which they launched together in 2014. For Women boasts an incredible amount of scientific research and every day with our reviews we hear about how it changes women’s lives for the better. Soraya never fails to do a happy dance. We also donate for every pack sold, to the organisation Womankind Worldwide, and Soraya is really proud of this partnership.

Our co-founder is an active member of the UK’s Probiotics Working Group, in partnership with our trade association the Health Food Manufacturer’s Association (HFMA). She is also a member of the European Federation of Health Manufacturer’s Probiotics Working Group and represents Optibac in the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on the Human Microbiome.

Soraya used to run all the digital marketing including writing content for the website before we expanded and grew our bright team. She still enjoys keeping abreast of the latest in SEO and conversion rate optimisation. One of her career highlights was appearing on BBC South Today, when she took part in a news feature covering Optibac’s coveted Queen’s Award in 2019.

When she’s not telling the world about friendly bacteria, Soraya likes to unwind with walking, yoga, spending time with friends & family, and knitting.
