Nothing makes us happier here at Optibac HQ, than finding people who love our live cultures as much as we do! This week, we're super excited to announce that our Saccharomyces boulardii has been recommended in Women's Health magazine, in an article written by none other than the wonderful Dr. Megan Rossi.
In the article, Dr. Rossi, a registered dietitian and researcher at King's College London and one of our favourite health influencers, recommends taking live cultures, such as our Saccharomyces boulardii, a top tip as we head towards the winter cold and flu season.
Dr. Rossi goes on to explain that when it comes to live cultures 'one size does not fit all', as different strains of live cultures may suit different types of people. We at Optibac are in full agreement, as we have always said that you should pick the right type of live culture for you!
To help support our gut health, Dr. Rossi also recommends eating more fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds as these are the foods that gut bacteria like to ferment. She also recommends eating fermented foods such as kimchi and kombucha, as part of a healthy diet.
It's great to know that Dr Megan Rossi is doing her bit to keep our gut bacteria well supported! We are massive fans. Give her a follow to learn more about your gut health. Her instagram is @theguthealthdoctor.
